Shifra
Shifra J., a 12 year old with Downs syndrome, is a new immigrant from California. When her family made Aliyah to Haifa, they enrolled her in Tzohar. Distressed and feeling isolated, Shifra had to adjust to a new country and language. With Tzohar's encouraging learning environment and loving staff, Shifra has made tremendous progress, has many new friends, and today speaks Hebrew without an accent.



Miriam
Miriam C., 8 years old, was diagnosed at birth with CP. During her critical formative years she was kept at home, making progress very difficult. After only two years at Tzohar, where she received intensive physical therapy, Miriam has begun to take halting steps and responds to her teachers with smiles. With more advanced equipment and specialized physical therapy, Miriam would benefit greatly.


Michael
Michael M., age 10, suffers from CP which left his motor senses severely impaired. Despite his physical limitations, Michael is highly intelligent and is motivated to learn. With the proper equipment and specialized physical therapy in the swimming pool, Michael has the chance to reach his maximum potential...



Shari
Cute freckle-faced Shari was born with slight brain damage. Through intensive preparatory learning and motor therapy, the staff at Tzohar has been able to stimulate her developmental abilities and provide her with opportunities for progress. Shari has gained self-confidence, improved greatly in motor coordination and can now express herself in longer sentences using a more enriched vocabulary.
